Kenzo Renewal, growing gardens from the ashes of industry
June 20th, 2007 a seven alarm arson destroyed a city owned 20,000 square foot warehouse and the entire 3200 block of H Street homes in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. View the video below:
Two years later, the persistence of a small community of neighbors with the help of thousands of supporters from around the globe has created a beautiful community garden and play space where only ashes, rubble and destroyed lives & livelihoods once lay.
